The challenge was to choose an era, study its style, and create repeating patterns based off of our research. I choose the 1920’s Art Deco theme and played a lot with color, grids, and shapes in asymmetrical and symmetrical forms. I ultimately created a set of eight repeating patterns and played around with multiple colorways for each. There are some of my favorites.
